ABOUT SONDRA

Born and raised in Arkansas, I’m proud to call myself a true Arkansas native. I grew up surrounded by family who encouraged me to dream big and pursue my goals. My journey began in the arts. I studied Musical Theatre Education in college, driven by a deep love for music and performance. That creative foundation continues to shape how I connect with and serve others today.

After spending time in Florida, where I met and married my husband, Matt, we returned home to Arkansas to welcome our first son. Becoming a mother ignited a passion in me to ensure families had the support I once needed. My own experiences led me to become a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with my local Health Department, where I worked with families from all walks of life. Wanting to do more, I trained as both a Doula and Lactation Specialist, combining those roles to better serve families through every stage of their journey.

Over the past 12 years, I’ve had the honor of supporting thousands of Arkansas families through my work as a doula, lactation consultant, and advocate. I founded Arkansas Doulas, a collaborative practice of doulas, educators, and lactation professionals who share my mission of providing inclusive, high-quality care across the state. In 2020, I expanded my reach through The Arkansas Breastfeeding Clinic, with a vision to train and diversify the next generation of lactation professionals.

At my core, I’m passionate about helping people see their potential, whether that’s empowering new parents or mentoring professionals. Through speaking engagements, and consulting, I’m dedicated to building stronger, more connected communities, one family at a time.
